How do I use the new library catalog / search interface?

Answer

The Thurgood Marshall Law Library replaced our two-decades old library system with a new search experience, which includes a new search interface on the library homepage! On May 23, 2024, the Library upgraded to a new and improved catalog that streamlines and enhances searching and accessing books, articles, and more.

The new library system changes how our existing library search platform/catalog looks and functions. Enhanced features give you the ability to:

  • Search Faster: Save time by searching almost all of the Library's collections in one simple search. The new search experience replaces the WorldCat Catalog and Classic Catalog (catalogUSMAI).
  • Have Simpler Personalized Experiences: You can now manage your account in one single place. Log in with your UMID and password to save your research preferences and export records to citation management systems in one single platform. This replaces My Account in the Classic Catalog (catalogUSMAI) and My Account in the  EBSCO Discovery Service.
  • Search On-the-Go: Improved mobile interface allows you to search with greater ease on your mobile device.
