How can I borrow assigned required and recommended course books in the Course Reading Collection?
Answer
The Law Library maintains a Course Reading Collection with assigned required and recommended course books available to borrow for 4-hour loan periods from the User Services Desk at the main entrance of the Law Library. Students can stop by the Desk with your UMID, and ask us to borrow a course book. The User Services Desk is open during the hours posted on our hours page. Course readings are not intended to serve as a replacement for purchasing your own copy of required texts.
Additionally, the library also provides a collection of study aids and treatises for many courses, including all first-year classes, in the Rothenberg Reading Room located across from the User Services Desk. Books in the Rothenberg Reading Room are for in-house use only and may not be checked out.
